Background
Motivation
Power - Bakker is a survivor, and his method is ingratiation. Always knowing just what to say and how to present himself, he finds it exceedingly easy to insinuate himself into social structures. He has long since gotten over any ethical quandaries about manipulating others, and grabs for any power he sees as a reflexive action.
Obligations
Betrayal (10) - Several years ago the colony of which Bakker was serving as mayor, Waterhouse, was targeted by the Empire due to Bakker's choice to allow a group of fleeing Jedi shelter. The Empire made an example of Waterhouse, even after the Jedi fled in advance of the attack.
Favor (10) - Bakker only escaped Waterhouse by securing passage on a smuggler's ship. That smuggler, Kardiez, is just waiting for his investment to pay off. When Bakker eventually surfaces again and finds himself in power, as he always seems to, Kardiez plans to collect with interest.
