Background
As a Force Sensitive, Rexan Kel was found and taken as an infant by the Jedi Order, and brought to the Temple of Coruscant where he lived for a few years. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, he and his clan of younglings were brought to Lothal for an experiment with the Jedi temple there.
During Order 66, a Jedi Master saved Rexan by forcing a room to collapse on him, hiding him from the clones. The trauma led Rexan to unwillingly cut himself from the Force and to forget everything from his life in the Jedi order.
Eventually, a bounty hunter found him and took him under his wing, teaching him how to defend himself until he was 15 - at which point he was left to fend for himself on Lothal.
Ten years later, he's a professional fighter, currently lending his strength to a crew he has grown to know and love along the years.
Motivation

Rexan Kel can't help dreaming of freedom. His situation as a fugitive makes him constantly anxious and, although he has learnt not to show it, he hasn't slept properly in nineteen years. All he wants is a good night's sleep, and he doesn't know how to get that.

His most important drive at the moment is to protect his crewmates, as he feels responsible for their safety and can't stand to see them being hurt.

As a survivor of Order 66, Rexan Kel's head is worth quite a lot of money. To protect himself, he never reveals his face and uses the alias "Rex", no last name. Otherwise, he would probably be hunted down.
Description
Rexan Kel is a rather tall human being, with black hair and vivid blue eyes. He is an athletic man, with large shoulders and well-defined muscles - he physically looks strong.
His body is marked with several various scars, and he usually gets at least one more during every mission. The most gruesome of them is a huge scar across his torso, which he got when a pirate almost cut him in half.
People would probably be surprised by how kind his face looks if he wasn't covering it all the time - pretending to be a Mandalorian so no one questions the "hiding his face" part, he wears a a helmet with a V-shaped visor.
As for his armor, he currently wears heavy clothing with energy dispersion mesh and a few reinforced plates underneath.
