TL:DR version:
Pantoran noble born on Coruscant, trained in the art of diplomacy and works in the galactic senate. Recent recruitment to the Republic Intelligence services as a part time spy, now pulled in full time with the start of the Clone Wars.

While a Pantoran, he was raised on Coruscant. He is from a Noble family linage that has been on Coruscant for more than 300 years, generationally and perpetually representing Pantora to the Galactic Senate.



As a youth he grew up with inappropriate pride and considerable inbred arrogance. Although mostly able to suppress it, it did get him into trouble at times. His trips to Pantora and the excursions into the wild lands help to tame his approach to others that underlying attitude never was fully expunged. It was expected that he follow in the traditional role of his family as a diplomat, and at first this was his life plan. 



As a family business the Templeton Pantorans for centuries have been running a high-end import-export business between the core, Pantora and a few other systems. By his late-teens he had been well trained in the large family business in addition to his training for his ambassadors role. By the time he was 16 he was spending most of his days at the senate building where he was also tutored on his education. Learning about the complexities of diplomacy in the Republic was a many year program.



By his mid 20s he was becoming disillusioned with the way the Senate and the republic was being run politically, often actions of systems or individual s would undermine fair trade and commerce, or corrupt senators and systems would skirt the rules and gain unfair advantage. He was still a strong believer in the rule of law, unwavering moral standards, and in law and order to get peace and safety, typically through the strong arm of the military. So at 26 he was recruited by the Republic internal security bureau as a senate spy.



In addition to combat training he was training in several spy-craft skills. He now had the motivation and skills to address the corruption and hypocrisy within the Senate. His recruitment was also helped by his psychological profile was consistent with those who could use deceit and coercion to find out what he wanted without triggering any internal moral quandaries. During this time he continued his duties to the Senate and to his family as a board member in his family business.



It was only a few years later that the Clone Wars began. This prompted the military to ask him to join full time and he resigned his post in the Senators office. This was a great concern to his family but he was able to explain that the Republic needed him in this dangerous time of war.



The only major event he has had happen in the first 3 months of his career was the brutal loss of his arm during a droid attack. His left arm is currently a synthetic replacement cybernetic (no stats) styled to appear to be a normal blue pantoran arm.

Motivation:
Power Corrupts: The Statesman seeks to expose those who use their power to kill, injury, suppress, and steal from others. The galaxy abounds with examples of how power corrupts, and few are more aware of this than The Statesman. With the galaxy at war the opportunity for corruption in all areas of the Senate and Military are considerable. Too much power is being consolidated in too few hands, with inevitable results.

Support
The Statesman uses his abilities in support of the members of the Republic, both military, political and civilian.
The Republic is a filled with individuals with diverse backgrounds and allegiances, making a little internal conflict inevitable. When tensions flare and the group splinters, nobody accomplishes their objectives. The PC seeks to foster cohesion and cooperation, soothing bruised egos and reigning in various species wild impulses. As long as the party is operating in unison, the PC is doing his job

28 yo handsome Pantoran with gold-flecked eyes, black short cut hair. His easy smile and charismatic manner often hides a strong and willful prowess. He is average height, svelte build and a pleasant baritone voice. He has a black beard on his blue face and traditional yellow markings of his Pantoran Noble family crest on his cheeks.
