Born on the planet Kashyyyk, Grrawn knew from birth the evils of the First Galactic Empire. Enslaved to work in one of many Imperial mining operations that despoiled the beauties of Kashyyk, Grrawn fermented his hatred of the Empire from a young age. Unable to quietly suffer their indignities like his wiser elders, Grrawn one day attempted to earn his freedom by violently assaulting the crew of the Cargo Ship he had been forced to transport ore upon.

While he was able to overpower the crew and try to steer the ship to freedom, he was quickly captured by Imperial agents and thrown into an Imperial jail, where he would have likely been executed were it not for a fatefully-timed attack by Rebellion forces that saw him liberated. Though he attempted to pledge a life-debt to his savior, they refused and claimed that it was "The Rebellion" that saved him, not any one soldier. Grrawn immediately pledged himself to this Rebellion, so that he may be wielded as a weapon against the hated Empire who enslaved his people.

The Empire has despoiled his homeworld, raised in him slavery, and humiliates his people. Grrawn desires nothing more than to watch the Empire burn as revenge for what it has done to Kashyyyk.

Grrawn is a young but incredibly well-built and burly Wookiee, even for a normal member of his species. Though his large build and long fur make many assume he is well into Adulthood, Grrawn has only just reached true maturity and is only 19 years of age. Grrawn has thick brown fur that he styles into crude braids and rather striking black marks around his eyes. Though he does his best to take care of his personal hygiene, growing up working in a mine has left his fur naturally rough and coarse. Tall and broad even for a member of his species, Grrawn stands at 2.5 meters and weighs roughly 185kg.
