Background
Born into a business family that produced military grade combat armor, Opal and her brother Virn grew up under a strict household with an abundance of tough love and distant from their parents.
Naturally, the two kids grew to despise their home environment and quickly began to rebel as they enter their teenage years. As runaways from home, their arrived on the fringe of the Outer Rim and started pulling jobs for colony law enforcement. Opal grew to have an affinity for technology, taking what little tech crossed their path and rebuilding into useful tools and gizmos to use on the job. Virn was much more sly and cunning, operating as the frontman for the pair as they started to work for thugs and crimelords.
When Virn bet their ship in a game of sabacc and lost, he and Opal ran from the collecting crimeboss for a couple years until finally trapped on Nar Shadaa. Virn faked his death in the explosion of their ship, and Opal was escaped onto a passenger freighter that arrived back home on Coruscant.
She was found and arrested by local authorities and returned to her family despite now being legally an adult now. Her parents informed them of the shame her and her brother's actions had done to the family's name, since they had failed to use an alias, and that if Opal didn't want her brother found and killed that she would sign up for the Imperial forces and serve time repairing the name she helped destroy.
