Saaria's Mother was a slave to a powerful Baron in the Corporate Sector, however unknown to him his son fell in love with the beautiful Falleen woman and eventually fathered a child with her; this being Saaria. Initally this caused quite a scandal within the Household as she wasn't known to be in a relationship with anyone. Luckily being the Baron's son Saaria's Father was above suspicion and things blew over eventually.
However, being the child of a slave meant Saaria was one herself now. Her early years were quite lonely since her mother had a busy schedule and her father could only be with them in secret, but once she came of age things only deteriorated further: she was made into a slave dancer for the Barons pleasure and her parents could only watch as Saaria became little more than a trophy for the Baron to display to his guests. However the Baron started taking a personal interest in the girl and tried to have his way with her, Her Father now couldn't stand idly by as the Baron made unwanted advances towards Saaria: He punched the Baron across the face and dramatically confessed that Saaria was his daughter and that he loved her mother. After that the family fled CSA space into the Empire and did what they could to start over, Saaria worries that her old master might try to reclaim his "Property" one day but so far nothing has come of it...
Probably due to her father being Human Saaria has always had a certain fondness toward them and is open to the idea of a mixed-speices relationship herself. Also like most of her speices Saaria sometimes has dificulty staying in control of her emotions
