Cros'auth'nuruodo, also known as Nuru Crosauth - or Sauth - was born a noble in the Nuruodo family on the frozen world of Csilla. In his infant years, he was found to have some degree of force sensitivity. Being born into the ruling family of military and foreign policy, Sauth was brought to the Jedi Order by Aristocra Sev'eere'nuruodo in a show of good faith between the reclusive Chiss and the Galactic Republic. The cultural shock was great, as the Chiss Ascendancy were a very isolated people, living in huge arcologies underneath the ice sheets covering Csilla, whilst the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was filled with hundreds of different alien species and cultures, and while the Republic could be considered a very stable government, it was very chaotic compared to the way the Ascendancy operated.
At the age of 6, he was assigned to mirialan Jedi Knight Mesae Teru, and trained under her. She taught him some of the lightsaber forms before the beginning of the war, such as the basic Shii-Cho, the aggressive Ataru and the overpowering Djem So. However he would never really get a chance to practice them since the Clone Wars begun at the battle of Geonosis shortly after. During his time at the temple, he made a few friends, one of which was a fellow Chiss called Sev’riy’aklaio, or Vriya for short. Together, they reminiscenced about their homeworld of Csilla, and years later, he became infatuated with her as she was the only person he could truly connect to as a Chiss in this wild galaxy. His master caught wind of his feelings and discouraged him from pursuing them, as attachment was forbidden by the Jedi Order. He would soon lose all contact with her, as soon after the beginning of the Clone Wars, she was stationed on a medical frigate that was raided by the Veiled Sorority, disappearing, never to return.
During the Clone Wars, he was given the rank of Commander due to being a padawan, and because of his natural talent in piloting, he was quickly attached to the 22nd Air Combat Wing to provide aerial superiority for the ground troops. Master Teru and him they took part in the battles of Boz Pity, one of the largest battles of the war, where they fought against General Grievous’ fleet, carving a path for General Kenobi’s 212th Attack Batallion to land and support General Windu’s forces on the surface. Many separatist warships were destroyed, and so was the medical facility on the surface. They then fought in the Siege of Saleucami, where they helped General Tholme and General Secura assault a Morgukai cloning facility. They bombed the separatist supply depot, creating a massive breach into the citadel wall, allowing the clone army through. Towards the end of the war, they also hit one of the last of the Trade Federation’s fortress on Deko Neimoidia along with Teru’s old master, General Roan Shryne, as well as General Kenobi and General Skywalker. The successful assault forced Nute Gunray to retreat to Utapau. Finally, he took part of the battle of Murkhana, and disaster followed shortly after.
It was during the battle of Murkhana that the Great Jedi Purge begun. As Sauth and Teru were engaging the last of the Separatist bombers, their squadron suddenly turned on them in an instant on the orders of Commander Salvo. Teru's ship was hit by an ARC-170 and dropped through the clouds, vanishing out of sight, and soon after, Sauth’s stabilizers were hit and his ship was sent tumbling down on the surface. His communication jammed, his astromech droid having sustained damage, Sauth crash landed on a beach.
Surviving the impact, Sauth attempted to contact his master, but was left without a response, seeing only a plume of smoke kilometers away over the ocean’s horizon. Familiar with the Grand Army of the Republic’s protocols, he retreated into the jungles and survived in the wilderness alone for days, until he was found by a squad of Clone Commandos calling themselves Ion Squad. They reassured him that they wouldn't hurt him, and claimed that they helped a few Jedi escape, among which was Roan Shryne. They pointed him towards an old warehouse where he found a discarded Wayfarer-Class Medium Transport prototype. He posed as a merchant and successfully fled the planet under the control of the newly-formed Galactic Empire, and has been avoiding the Empire as best he could ever since. Perhaps they would think he died in that crash, perhaps he would constantly be hounded by the Empire.
To survive the rise of the Empire, Sauth changed his name to Kit’alo’nuruodo, or Talon for short, and worked oddjobs transporting goods with his ship, staying as far away from the core worlds as possible. Amongst which, he brought old Clone Wars vehicles to Zann Remanufacturing on Anaxes so they could be repurposed for civilian use, delivered shipments of weapons for Merr-Sonn and BlasTech on many space stations for private security companies in the Outer Rim, brought bounties to the Pyke Syndicate and smuggled spice and other oddities on behalf of the Hutt Cartel. In the underworld, he goes by the alias of Knight.
One day, one of his jobs led him on the desert world of Tatooine, where he was to deliver a couple illegally modified swoop bikes in Mos Espa for the Hutt Cartel before Boonta’s Eve. While offloading his cargo in the desert, jawas stole one of the swoop bikes. He tracked them to a nearby sandcrawler where the particularly daring and aggressive clan opened fire on him. He snuck onboard the sandcrawler and found a hold with dozens of droids with restraining bolts attached to them. One of them would later become his faithful companion; E-10, a very old Hunter-Killer unit. Having caused enough of a distraction for the jawas, Sauth found his missing swoop bike and returned to the ship. While delivering his swoop bikes to the Cartel, he was intercepted by a swoop gang called the Grave Tuskens, who didn’t want to see any of Jabba’s racers win the Boonta’s Eve. He attempted to reason with them, negotiate, bribe them, but these bloodthirsty thugs would hear none of it. In a stroke of luck, or perhaps by the will of the Force itself, the HK droid Sauth had saved days ago had appeared to repay the favor. The droid dispatched the thugs with ease, and Sauth thanked him for saving his life. After some discussion, they decided to join forces.
Cros'auth'nuruodo would go on working jobs, some legals, some less so, some safe, some very daring. While he focused on simply staying alive and out of the Empire’s way, he hopes for a better future: A future with a Republic, a future with the Jedi Order, a future without the Empire. He spent many sleepless nights wondering if his master survived and if he had left her to die, and whether or not he was the last of the Jedi. He wished to look for them, but didn’t know how to without attracting attention from the Empire. He wished to complete his training and rebuild a new lightsaber so that he could take up arms against he Empire, as maybe a lightsaber, a symbol of the Jedi, would give people enough hope to rise up against oppression. He also wanted to confront Salvo, perhaps to take his revenge. But until then, he had to stay alive, because if he truly was the last of the Jedi, then the Order would die with him.
