Background
Ghent was a gifted slicer from a young age, programming rudimentary droids to pick the pockets of travelers at the local spaceport. Ghent grew up with his mother in an outer rim station, having fled his home planet when he was only a child, displaced by an empire that wanted to lock down the upstart Duros population.
He and his mother scraped by with her wages as a server for some time, and Ghent spent his days toying with gadgets and computer terminals out of boredom. By the time he found out what his mother had been doing to make ends meet in the twilight hours, he had already brushed passed access point for numerous financial institutions on the Holonet, and it was a simple matter to "fix" their financial situation.
When his mother didn't stop, Ghent found out that she had gained the attention of a lieutenant in the Black Sun, Bazel Warv. Ghent began to pursue different schemes by which to distract the man from his mother, but Bazel was undeterred. Ghent decided the only way to eliminate this man was to kill him.
Ghent went about laying a trap for the man on station. When Bazel stepped into corridor j9 Ghent sealed the section, and triggered a purge of the oxygen in the corridor. Bazel was long gone by the time a passerby found the sealed hatch and called maintenance.
Full of pride, Ghent had been attaching his signature to every virus he uploaded for some time, and Black Sun slicers had investigated and found his signature. By the time Ghent realized it, Black Sun operatives were already on station and looking for him.
Fearing what they'd do to him and his mother if he was discovered, Ghent said a hasty goodbye to his mother, released a bot on the stations computer that would scrub his presence clean and left both his life and his slicer signature behind. Luckily the recently collapsed empire presented certain opportunities for a man with his skills, and he was able to find a position aboard a work crew salvaging the Death Star wreckage on the forest moon of Endor.
With all these gadgets and Imperial tech to root through, Ghent hopes to build himself better tools with which to defend himself - having no general aptitude with any kind of weapon - and avoid being identified to Black Sun as the slicer who killed Bazel Warv.

Description
Ghent is an all inclusive tech-head. On any average day he'll typically be seen wearing his favorite jacket, shirt, and a plain pair of pants. A typical, medium blue skin-toned Duros, there always seems to be a datapad or some such device strapped to his back or in his hands, though he tries to keep a minimal enough appearance that those things are not noticed.
Occasionally Ghent suffers from body odor problems as he can easily lose himself for days in a new batch of code or tinkering with a droid or gadget. His meager residence is cluttered with unfinished projects.
