Bhuri'Hssyngigg was born on Trandosha in 19 BBY and grew up in the traditions of the great hunt, with her family all devout worshippers of the Scorekeeper, the goddess who watches over the Trandoshan people and awards them Jagannath points for each honorable kill they make in pursuit of the hunt. Bhuri was rivals to some other Trandoshan hunters, frequently competing for big prizes. Her love of the hunt took her offworld, to planets such as Tatooine, Felucia, Voss, and Florrum, where she fell in with a gang of Trandoshan bounty hunters led by Bossk. This gang soon fell apart, however, and Bhuri continued to hunt for various clients, including the Hutts, the InterGalactic Banking Clan, and eventually the Empire.

During a hunt on the planet Raxus Prime, Bhuri's life was saved from an explosion by the Rebel pilot Janica Halcyon, who was on a mission for Rebel High Command. As is traditional in Trandoshan culture, Janica's actions forged a life debt for Bhuri, and she accepted Janica as her ghrakhowsk, or debtholder. She abandoned her life as a hunter to join the Rebellion and fulfill her life debt, to Janica's protestations, acting as a copilot in Janica's U-Wing, and after Janica resigned her commission Bhuri followed her again, now as her bodyguard and a member of Halcyon Transport Solutions. She is usually the first to hop on the Rambler's guns whenever trouble rears its head - which is often.

Bhuri is a devout worshipper of the Scorekeeper, and is compelled to partake in honorable hunts to earn Jagannath points. Her quarry ranges from great beasts to bounty targets, but she eschews any hunt that she considers dishonorable.

Bhuri is bound to Janica Halcyon by a life debt, a sacred oath which she takes extremely seriously. She will go to any length to preserve Janica's life, even at the expense of her own.

Bhuri is approximately seven feet tall, with green scales marred by scars and cuts earned on the hunt. She has a vicious grimace and surprisingly warm, burnt-orange eyes. She is heavily-muscled, and files her claws into sharp points.
