Barrage (3) add 1 damage per rank of barrage to 1 hit of successful attack while using ranged (heavy) or gunnery skills at long or extreme range.
Durable (2) May reduce any critical injury suffered by 10 per rank of durable to a minimum of 1
Bodyguard (2) Once per round, preform the Body Guard maneuver to guard an engaged character. Suffer a number of strain no greater than ranks of Body Guard, then until next turn upgrade the difficulty of combat checks targeting the character by number
Hard Headed The character may perform the Hard Headed action. On any turn in which the character is staggered or disoriented, he may perform the Hard Headed action (this action may be specifically performed even though he is normally barred fro performing actions when staggered). He makes a Daunting (4 Difficulty Dice) Discipline check. If he succeeds, he is no longer staggered or disoriented. The difficulty of this check decreases by one per additional rank of Hard Headed, to a minimum of Easy.
Side Step (2) Once per round on the character’s turn, the character may perform a Side Step maneuver to try to avoid incoming ranged attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Side Step. Until the start of the character’s next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all ranged combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character.
Defensive Stance One per round on the character’s turn, the character may perform a Defensive Stance maneuver to assume a defensive stance against incoming melee attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Defensive Stance. Until the start of the character’s next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all melee combat checks targeting the character a number of time equal to the strain suffered by the character in this way.
