Background
An orphan, Gavork was raised by his uncle Silvak the shaman of a small village in the north of Voss by the name of Narim-Aggor.
A childhood prodigy he was being groomed to become the shaman of the village on the death of his uncle, but there was a problem, there were elements in the village that wanted his uncle removing as shaman and the patriarch of the Sov family, Havon to replace him, Havon had worked in the Empire as a technician before returning home and brought with him the hatred borne out of imperial service, Silvak saw Haven’s behaviour as a betray of his people as the Empire had murdered many Gromak during the war with the Voss.
One night Silvak was brutally murdered by a group of masked men, Gavork could tell by their voices that they were members of the Sov family, Gavork escaped with his life, wandering the wilderness trying to survive, after many days and nearing death from starvation he stumbled across a starship, the Lucky Break, the pilot, a kind and elderly trader by the name of Graaf Hollins took him in and fed him, he took him off world and helped him set up a new life in the outer rim.
Gavork thrived under Graaf’s tutelage, and his skills developed to such an extent Graaf gave him the position of Mechanic.
Trader is a loosely defined concept in Graaf’s mind, his tendency towards ‘trading’ in less than legitimate merchandise attracted the attention of the Empire, his ship was seized and Graaf lost his will to live, Gavork returned the favour of tending to his friend and mentor but he was unable to save Graaf from his own despair.
Alone in the outer rim with vengeance on his mind, Gavork adventures on…
