Background
RO-0K frequently modified his body with different droid parts and other tech. The logical extension of this was constructing "children" for himself, patterned off his own neuro-net. These "clones" were constructed in a variety of shapes and sizes, but all had the same drives, the same purpose, and great loyalty to the rest of the "family."
RO-19K is one of the most recent constructs. He and his "brothers" worked for their "father" in his information gathering enterprise, selling information to the highest bidder. However, RO-0K stole one too many secrets from the Empire and they cracked down. The Empire tracked down the neural link relay and began hacking it. RO-0K attempted to send out a disconnect order, but the Empire blocked the signal and started tracing his location, forcing him to disconnect. When many of RO-19K's brothers connected to transmit information and receive new orders, the Empire traced their location and sent teams to capture or terminate them. RO-0K, however, wasn't done yet. He managed to hack into the system and wipe the relay, severing all links to the remaining droids. However, the Empire traced his signal and sent a team to neutralize him. When RO-19K tried to reconnect to the network, he was unable to and realized what must have happened.
After digging around for a while, he managed to learn what happened and got the name of the ISB officer who headed the operation, receiving a promotion for her efforts: Sarisa Notka. He decided to join the Rebellion, figuring that would be the best way to get revenge on the Empire and on Sarisa Notka. Plus, the information infrastructure would be helpful in eventually finding his father.
When the Alliance assigned him to investigate criminal organizations, he was incensed and almost quit then and there. But, after careful consideration, he decided to accept. He is confident he will be able to climb the ranks rapidly enough that they will have no choice but to acquiesce to his desire to take a more direct approach against the Empire itself.
Motivation
Quest: Vengeance
Many of RO-19K's brothers were terminated or captured, and he doesn't know what happened to his father, but he assumes he escaped. He seeks revenge on the Empire, and specifically Sarisa Notka, for the loss of his family.
Quest: Riches
What else? RO-19K's purpose has always been credits. Information is valuable, and he makes sure it pays. It may be hard to claw it out of the Alliance, but he can make some on the side if he plays his cards right.
Duties
-15 2,500 Credits, 5XP
Intelligence (0): Due to his... questionable background, but undeniable potential, he has been assigned to investigate criminal threats to the Rebellion rather than Imperial ones.
Description
Age: 4
Height: 5'8
Build: Average
Plating: Matte black
Photoreceptors: Dark silver
Homeworld: None
RO-19K has a humanoid shape, similar to that of an RA-7, with matte black plating. He does not alter his appearance as much as his father did, due to the specialized plating he constructed for himself, but he has the ability to do so if the need to be completely unrecognizable were to arise, thanks to his father who made a lifetime study of the practice. He knows that something as simple as a new paint job can completely throw off anyone seeking to identify the droid.
