As a member of the Mon Calamari Troopers, Ekkar is a proven combatant in the water. However His drive to prove the skill of the Mon Calamari on land drove him to become an agent for the rebellion.

They simply wish to prove not just their own worth but the worth of the entire Mon Calamar Species as land combatants.

A Mon Calamari Trooper sets out to prove they can be as effective out of the water as they are in the water and break the stigma of the Mon Calamarians being only suited for Ship to Ship Combat. They serve the Rebellion proudly as one of the founding species.
