Deke grew up in a typical stilt-shack in a suburban marsh on Pipada under the oppressive martial law of Imperial crackdown. The newly established Empire's efforts to squash rebellious activity before it grew too big had brought unwanted attention to the Drabatan's homeworld and has remained heavy despite the native's consistent resistance.

Deke, like many of his species, was heavily involved in the musical elements of his native culture and he worked his way into directing and conducting musical productions of various levels. This required skilled communication, leadership, and tactical control of the many voices, harmonies, and melodic instruments for which Deke excelled. This natural ability caught the attention of colleagues that were secretly involved in an organizing an insurgent uprising in attempts to rid Pipada of the Empire's iron-handed fist once and for all.

Deke was instantly on board, having felt the stifled freedoms and limited opportunities for artistic expression under the Emporer's regime. Desiring more for himself, his species, and the galaxy at large, Deke took his tactical skills from the auditorium to the battlefield and began recruiting for the rising insurgent rebellion. And while his military training is as of yet meager, his influence and tactical skills have already found him a place among the ranks.

Freedom, especially from the Imperial oppression, but also freedom of artistic expression.

Deke strives for the efficiency of complex systems working together like a 326 part harmony chorus. Coordinating and influencing the tactics in a firefight or mission to maximize smooth operation and execution runs deep in his blood.

Duties:
Recruiting - always on the lookout for others to join the cause, Deke is a charismatic individual that never shies away from flashing the charm to win over an ally.

Tactical Control & Field Communication - a natural leader and coordinator, communication is key to maintaining tactical control and keeping the initiative

Obligation:
Outwardly opposing the Empire has put him in their crosshairs, literally and figuratively. Wanted by the Imps for his participation in various uprisings and for his alleged participation in insurgent activity.

Average height and build for a Drabatan, Deke stands at a slightly diminutive size compared to your typical human in the galaxy. He isn't particularly muscular or athletic, coming from a musical background, but boy that wide-mouthed grin and bellowing voice! In his mid-twenties, his dark green skin isn't overly wrinkled yet like many of his species.

Deke is fond of using catchy language, one-liners, and some wit and charm to engage his squad or choir, often breaking out into song himself even in encounters outside the normal musical halls of Pipada.
