Yadwa had a close connection to Master Yoda, being of the same race and he took an interest in her training despite her being the padawan of Master Cam Nosrehp. She proved to be a skilled force user, especially her skill in the Ataru lightsaber form taught to her by Yoda. She also proved to be extremely brash and overconfident and too eager for battle. After passing the trials and becoming a Jedi Knight, Yoda suggested that she spend a century on an isolated world meditating on the force and learning patience as he had done after he passed the trials. Yadwa reluctantly agreed to be left on a nameless, uncolonized snow planet on the outer rim. For 100 years she meditated, foraged, and trusted in the force to provide for her survival. She learned to survive the harsh blizzards and cold as well as the larger, more dangerous predators. When the 100 years had passed she patiently waited to be picked up but it was another decade before she saw a ship arrive. She did not recognize the imperial markings as she had left before the Clone Wars, Order 66, and the fall of the Republic. Uncertain and weary of the new arrivals, she observed them for years as they constructed an outpost for supplying and refueling other imperial vessels, eventually learning of the demise of the Jedi. She decided to leavethe planet in order to search for any other surviving Jedi as well as to discover if Master Yoda still lives. Unfortunately, the outpost is too well guarded.
