Background
Snonk was roaming around the desert with his old band of jawa scrappers on a dusty planet and realized through his intellectual abilty that there would soon be a scrap shortage on their planet.
Snonk suggested the jawas go to the moon moons, piece up a ship and fly into space to get massive amounts of scrap, the other jawas were particularly upset with this idea and decided Snonk had lost faith in their desert homeworld and in some way had deeply betrayed their trust in claiming the planet was metaphorically dry.
Snonk set out by himself to scrap ships and make it to the stars and find entire worlds built out of nothing but scrap metal.
Motivation

A deep love for scrap metal, companionship and safety.
