Amantha’s Backstory
Was born on Corellia to middle class immigrant parents. Amantha’s grandparents were very politically involved in Alderaan and the loyalist movement. Her parents moved to Corellia and changed their names in order to escape the black mark of their parents from the empire.
Had an extremely normal childhood, but was heavily encouraged to study and better herself.
She graduated top of her class, and went to med school after that.
After graduating from medical school, she spent two years setting up and working at clinics in the outer rim.
She found this work, out of everything she has done, the most fulfilling.
It was also the most dangerous. The local crime bosses would often raid the clinic for drugs to sell and while she’d occasionally employ guards, one night she was on her own and was attacked and quite seriously injured. The several scars that Amantha has across her face are what the thugs thought would, “Teach her a lesson”
Though a little late, a local bounty hunter broke things up and helped her track down the thugs.
The Bounty hunter was a Twi’lek named Giza Han. Amantha has helped her out after a tough scrape a few weeks before.
Once Amantha had recovered Giza taught her some self defense, primarily hand to hand, as her ability with blasters was, “utterly dismal”
Over the course of her stay, they became good friends.
She came back to Corellia when her father had passed away and her mother’s health was failing to help look after her little brother Vinon, who is seven years younger.
Amantha took a job as a Doctor at Coronet medcenter, where she worked her way to become one of the top medics there.
Note: Amantha has never been very good with her work life balance and most of the reason she did so well was because she often slept in her office and very rarely came home, which was her whole reason for coming back to Corellia in the first place.
One day, working at the medcenter, Amantha was responsible for several patients that were in quite a fragile state. One of her supervisors, the owner of the medcenter, asked her to drop all of her patients to treat a high ranking imperial officer who happened to be there and had fallen ill. Amantha objected, and the supervisor told her that she could treat the officer and keep her job, or treat the, “trash that would if not die now, die from something else the next day.” and be fired. She made a rude gesture at the supervisor and continued to treat her patients. The imperial nearly died, but quickly recovered. He found out what happened and after Amantha was fired from the hospital, had her license revoked.
In the following weeks, Amantha rented out a back room of a shop in the Blue Sector where she treated patients who couldn’t make their way to the Medcenter for one reason or another. She actually owned the front of the shop too, which was a snack shop that sold some Corellian street food favorites. While Amantha doesn’t work in the shop, she did have a key role in the development of the recipes.

Oath (10) Amantha takes her duty as a doctor very seriously, and strives to do no harm and to help other wherever and whenever she can with the skills she has at her disposal.

Favor (10) The Twi'lek Bounty Hunter Giza Han saved her life and taught her how to defend herself during her time working in the outer rim. They became close friends in that time. When she left, Amantha told her that anytime she needed help, to call.
