Background
Kiryll was born into a loving family, to a Human mother, Shyam Qardall and a Chiss father, Las’hoa’nuruodo, or Shoan. He along with his younger brother his brother Dap’him’nuruodo, grew up on Nar Shaddaa. Shoan took up work as a local spaceport mechanic. He still wanted the boys to be raised in Chiss Culture. Kiryll learned Languages spoken on Csilla, Cheunh, Sy Bisti, and Minnisiat. They were taught Chiss values of loyalty, self reliance, to be contemplative, and deliberate. Not give themselves over to passion, they did not allow emotion to interfere with their analysis of a problem through logic. Kiryll grew to revere these traits and hold them in high regard. Although being half human and not raised on Csilla, this was something he is continuing to work on within himself.
His father always very vague and cryptic when talking his home world of Csilla, or why he left. Only that he needed to be somewhere else. All they did know is that eventually he found himself a commander Of General and Jedi Master Rahm Kota's own non-clone militia during the Clone Wars against the Separatists. After the end of the war, the death and exile of many Jedi, and the rise of the Galactic Empire, Master Kota went into hiding and his Militia, disbanded. Eventually settling on Nar Shaddaa, a place no stranger to hutts, gangsters, refugees, and your average low life. For this reason Shoan made sure Kiryll could defend himself, knowing that growing up as an alien on the outer rim would a difficult task. Even though many could not tell exactly what species they were, often confused for Pantorans.
They were taught basic self-defense and blaster technique, should the need arise. Taught him to consider every option, and possibility, how carefully analyze the situation and to fight if only absolutely necessary, and if so, win. Eventually Kiryll would join his father in his work, showing great aptitude and skill. He would grow to be a very multi-layered individual. For years they lived a modest but happy life.
One day His father disappeared without a trace With no answers or any clue to his whereabouts, the shop eventually closed down. Kiryll struggled to take care of mother and brother in his father's absence. In doing so used the skills his father taught him and take jobs from local Huts and gangs. He quickly grew in skill becoming exceptionally proficient at this. Knowing the ins and outs, how to create, what made tech work, and how to make it work better.
While taking multiple contracts he's not only grown in his craft but also picked up at least an understanding of an array of languages. He dove into his craft. Because of that very few got to see the "real" Kiryll. Most would note that he is well mannered, speaks respectfully, but at the same time generally inexpressive. This at times has also been perceived as standoffish or aloof. The absence of any emotional display is generally what what keeps others away. Being human and Chiss Yet underneath this facade of the well-functioning Mechanic he is constantly trying to keep his passions from overwhelming him. Only very Rarely, does he have a slip where that struggle overtakes him.
One day his mother and brother grew very ill. They had the Endregaad Plague. The onset of Endregaad Plague leads to intense fever, extreme loss of bodily fluids, a noticeable crusting around the eye and mouth areas, and the swelling of the tongue and fingers. When left untreated, The Plague's symptoms only intensify until it claims it's victims life. Research led doctors to learn that there is not yet a real cure to the plague and, there is only one known treatment able manage it — medicinal spice.
Kiryll's work did not pay enough for treatments, because of this Eventually his mother died. Out of desperation He went to Qorrga the Hutt for a loan. With that he was able to get his hands on a small amount of the medicine. But then his brothers symptoms had resisted tohe spice..
Sadly the plague took him as well.
Very few got to see the "real" Kiryll after that. Most would note that he is extremely intelligent, well mannered, speaks respectfully, but at the same time generally inexpressive. This at times has also been perceived as standoffish or aloof. The absence of any emotional display is generally what what keeps others away, at a time when Kiryll knows he needs them the most, but you will never hear him say that. Being both Human and Chiss he keeps this persona of the well-functioning Mechanic yet at times finds himself in conflict with himself to keep his passions from overhelming him. Only very Rarely, is there an occasion where that struggle is temporarily lost to him. Deep down is still that boy who lost his family, only to be tossed about in a galaxy that shows no mercy. Kiryll learned the hard way what life was like on your own in the outer rim.
Still indebted to Qorrga, now without any true family, Kiryll sets out to leave Nar Shaddaa for answers. Confused with his father for not being here for his family, and feeling as without place in the galaxy, he tries to not let the anger fueled bitterness he feels cloud the focus he has on his goal to find the truth. Where did his father go? And Why did he leave? With nothing but a handful of skill and the clothes on his back, Kirill’s journey begins.
