Her parents were part of the Chiss Galactic Empire Expedition. They were granted permission to settle on the neutrally aligned planet called Calin's Repose in the Winnec Sector.
Her father, Zalin, was a renowned pilot and was won quite a few races. His natural skill with flying and love for the stars made him ideally suited for long voyages as a merchant. He was also known for working against the Separatists in the local conflict on Calin's Repose a few years ago.

Eridani took after her dad and joined the Imperial Academy as soon as she was able. She was a prospective pilot, frequently making it to the list of the top 50 students. The life of a cadet ended abruptly for Eridani as one day she found a legal representative at her door saying “Sign here”. Suddenly, she had become the proud owner of her father's Lancer-class freighter "Audacity". It was full of navigation points and records of regular customers. She also had a collection agent for some shady character informing her of all the debts attached to the ship and the need for certain activities to continue. She was forced to desert the Academy and return to the Winnec Sector. It was time to find a crew!
