Background
Jun's father Torin Jarrus was the leader of a semi-major merchant guild in the region surrounding the Bahalian system. The Pantoran was well liked and respected with the nobility of the planets allied with the CIS during the Clone Wars, but with the collapse of the Separatist Alliance, and the rise of the Empire, Torin stepped in to help Behalian's government after their ruler was killed in the last days of the Clone Wars.
He his role was originally meant to be that of a temporary regent, but he was liked enough to keep his position for far longer then he should, opening up the former monarchy to elections. Elections that he won in a landslide year after year.
Torin kept the Empire off him and his planet by giving away ex-separatist and early rebel collaborators, as well as some of Bahalian's vassal planets to the empire and his own merchant contacts, for strip mining and other dastardly purposes.
Torin keeps these deals secret from his own people, and believes himself to be protecting the greater good of the planet.
Jun would grow up in the lap of luxury and comfort, unaware of his father’s occasional cruelty.
He developed a rebellious streak, sneaking out and spending time at the local cantinas, making friends with patrons and guard captains living and working in Bahalian's capital city. He even would participate in both public and underground speeder races, and friendly low stakes gambling.
He would also make friends with the aid to a visiting Pantoran Diplomat by the name of Kol Alakhe.
One day he got a private massage from a friend of his from to meet him on a nearby planet that his father had recently given the Empire access to. He was horrified by what he saw there; the damage to the wildlife and ecosystem due to the unrestricted mining was irreparable, as well as the harsh marshal law placed onto the people. To make matters worse, his friend had been working with a terrorist faction on Bahalian in an attempt to kidnap Jun and hold him for ransom, as a statement against his father.
Jun escaped the crisis, and fled in a stolen airspeeder. When he returned to Bahalian, he confronted his father on what he saw.
Torin confirmed all that the terrorists had told Jun in his captivity, and explained his reasoning with a cold indifference. He was sacrificing unimportant pieces to protect what he felt was truly important.
With only a cold condolence, King Jarrus ordered the would-be captors executed, despite Jun's angered protests.
Jun left that night, packed his things and stowed away on a merchant shuttle. He spent a short time on Naboo, and seeing what the Empire has done to a planet that he had seen such gorgeous works of art of, felt hurt that his name was in some ways synonymous with the dark fist of the Empire. Renouncing his family name, Jun Jarrus became Jun Jerricko. He purchased a white cape and suit, embroidering it with gold and a new house crest designed by him. and becoming a smuggler, passing supplies to the rebellion and refugees from the empire for the next few years.
In the early days, Jun would end up working for a pirate captain named Gorralis, who mentored Jun in the dastardly. He taught Jun how to lie, steal, shoot, and bribe, better than he ever could before. The two had a rough and complicated relationship, but it was, for a time, comfortable.
During this time, Jun and Gorralis’ crew got involved in a conflict with a much more powerful criminal enterprise. With Jun and Gorralis working together, however, they were eventually able to hunt and kill the crimelord with a vendetta, and exeunt from the situation, mostly intact.
Gorralis had convinced Jun he was a gentleman thief, and a defender of the weak, when in reality, him and his crew were killers, slavers, and spice dealers. When Jun learned the truth, he confronted Gorralis as well, and the crew beat him nearly to death. Jun gave up, and continued to work for them when Gorralis asked him to stay. He did so for three months, until he was able to get a hold of a potent poison, and slip it into Gorralis’ drink. He watched Gorralis choke to death and die in front of him, and that moment has haunted Jun ever since.
Many of his humanitarian missions would have to be funded by working for less then noble businessmen. He had to do many things that were distasteful or ireputable in order to make good things happen elsewhere.
He also briefly dated a Mandalorian woman named Dehlila, who left him over conflicts on each others moral code.
Some time later, he would be caught and arrested, and only escaped captivity with the help of a rag-tag group of rebels. They all had similar moral philosophies to Jun, and worked very well together for years, until eventually, Jun got wrapped up in the Defiance Cell. Their current whereabouts are unknown to him.
(Lemme know if you guys want more details on them, what they might be doing. Might be a cool hook to run into them)
