Background

Xim Hurat joined the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) at the age of 20, driven by a strong sense of duty and a desire to bring order to a galaxy mired in chaos. Born and raised on Corellia, Hurat grew up amidst the bustling shipyards and industrial zones of the Corellian Sector. The independence and resilience of his home sector left a significant mark on him, shaping his early views and work ethic.

From the outset, Hurat demonstrated an aptitude for intelligence work. His sharp intellect, combined with a knack for understanding and predicting the behaviors of others, quickly caught the attention of his superiors. Within a few years, Hurat had carved out a reputation as a relentless and effective Case Officer, specializing in counterintelligence and espionage. His operations ranged from dismantling rebel cells to infiltrating enemy organizations and conducting high-stakes covert missions.

One of Hurat's most reliable tools in his operations was the ID9 Seeker Droid. This small, black droid, equipped with advanced slicing and surveillance capabilities, became an extension of Hurat's own skills. The ID9, with its sleek design and formidable array of sensors, could infiltrate secure areas, disable security systems, and gather critical intelligence without detection.

Despite his unwavering loyalty to the Empire, Hurat's perspective began to shift during a critical investigation. He was tasked with probing a significant breach at an Imperial shipyard in the Corellian Sector. The shipyard had been raided by a well-coordinated partisan cell, resulting in the compromise of two Star Destroyers and a Dreadnought. The ID9 Seeker Droid played a crucial role in this investigation, sifting through encrypted data and piecing together the events leading up to the raid.

As Hurat delved deeper into the case, he uncovered a disturbing truth: the raided ships were transporting experimental virus strains intended for testing on remote planets beyond any oversight. These experiments had caused unimaginable suffering and death for entire populations. The deliberate infection and destruction of entire worlds, conducted in the dark and hidden from the galaxy's eyes, were too much for Hurat to condone.

This revelation shattered Hurat's faith in the Empire. Although he had engaged in morally dubious activities in the name of order and security, the scale of the atrocities committed under the guise of scientific advancement was a line he could not cross. Haunted by the horrors he uncovered, Hurat made a fateful decision to turn against the Empire.

However, Hurat's betrayal did not go unnoticed. The ISB, renowned for its ruthlessness and efficiency, soon caught wind of his treachery. Hurat was apprehended in a covert operation led by his former colleagues. The ID9 Seeker Droid, once his trusted companion, was instrumental in the ISB's efforts to track and capture him. Hurat was swiftly transported to the Imperial prison facility on Nur, known as Fortress Inquisitorius. This high-security detention center was notorious for holding individuals who posed significant threats to the Empire.

Now a prisoner within the cold, forbidding walls of Fortress Inquisitorius, Xam Hurat bides his time. He remains a complex figure—a man who once zealously served the Empire but ultimately chose to defy it when confronted with its darkest secrets. His knowledge of Imperial operations and his strategic mind make him a valuable asset, and he is ever-watchful for an opportunity to escape and perhaps find some form of redemption, or at the very least, a way to continue his fight against the Empire from the shadows.

Motivation

Despite his past, Hurat seeks to make amends for the suffering he caused.

Hurat betrayal of the Empire haunts him, driving his actions and decisions.
