Notou was always charming. As a child he could get his parents to do anything he wanted. Being the only child of a well-off merchant father, born with modern technology when his parents had all but given up hope of having children, he found that he could usually get his way when he wanted something badly enough.

He learned early on that he had something special, a special way to get everyone, except other Toydarians, to like him. He eventually confessed this to his mother once he had persuaded a couple of other seven-year-olds to fight each other and leave him alone. She realized that he might have a touch of this Force-Sensitivity nonsense that the Jedi-weirdos had used to try to usurp power and warned him not to use his powers, and never tell anybody, not even his father.

His mother died from a deadly illness the family couldn't afford to get treated when Notou was only nine years old, taking his secret with her to the grave. After that he was mostly raised by his father, an ambitious man who always tried to push his son to succeed him and take over his pawnshop on Nar Shaddaa when he retired. When his heart gave out one day on the floor of the shop Notou decided to sell the business that he felt killed his father and start his own company.

He got both good advice and some investment from his father's old business partner, a Toydarian named Teelo. The business was called NT Imports, and was an import/export business on Nar Shaddaa.

As it started to bring in some revenues Verta the Hutt started taking notice. Notou and Teelo agreed to try to keep the Hutt out by sending him falsified documents that seemed to show that the business was going badly.

As it turned out Teelo had decided to sell out to the Hutt in exchange for becoming the sole owner of the company and made sure the Hutt understood that it was Notou who tried to swindle him. Notou was forced to run from Nal Shaddaa, leaving his company and new-found fortune behind.

Verta the Hutt did not get rich by having people try to swindle him and run. After Notou's partner sold him out to the Hutt Verta declared that Notou owed him 200.000 credits and gave him a week to pay up. Needless to say the fleeing Toydarian had no money and no inclination to pay. A week later Verta the Hutt posted a bounty for his capture.

After the first bounty hunter narrowly missed him Notou bought an armored suit and kept running, looking for a place out of reach of both the vicious Hutt and the Empire, ever looking for Force-Sensitives. What he needed was an out of the way planet where nobody knew his name. A place where he could start over.

Notou finds it easy making good impressions, but has a hard time to allow himself to fully trust other beings. Once he truly considers someone his friend he has been known to go above and beyond what is good for himself to help out a friend in need.

Bounty (10): Verta the Hutt has placed a bounty on Notou. He wants the young Toydarian alive, for reasons not known to Notou.

Notou has always been very good at one thing, keeping himself safe. He is not one to take risks with his physical wellbeing that can be avoided and has in the past sometimes taken actions some would consider cowardly, but he considers merely sensible.

Description

A pudgy Toydarian with greenish-skin turning to pale ivory on his bulging belly. He is just shy of one meter tall (97cm), aged 21. He is bald with brown eyes and always seems to smell nice.
