Background
Gaman grew up on an unspecified Mid-Rim world with a younger brother and sister, hunting and subsisting off the land in a backwater colony town. He was fairly skilled with the rifle, and brought enough game to the dinner table to feed his family and the excess went to the town, buying their necessities. Life was quiet and sedate, and Gaman figured this peaceful existence, with his brother and sister soon to start families of their own, would be enough to satisfy him.
That was until an Imperial ship appeared and landed a garrison, accusing the townsfolk of harboring Rebels, and demanding they be released into Imperial custody. None, of course, came forth. Imperial stormtrooper patrols began harassing townsfolk, until the inevitable happened and blasters were drawn.
The specifics of the day were not known to Gaman, but civilian arms were no match for the Imperial fist, and the riots were put down brutally in a short battle. Gaman never saw his family again, but was told of wildly differing accounts that they had died in a fire, were captured by Imperials for questioning, were Rebels themselves, or were Imperial spies.
Gaman began taking his vengeance out on stormtrooper patrols, laying ambush to stormtrooper patrols in the surrounding wilderness. The garrison increased their patrol strength and Gaman took it as a challenge to wipe out the increasing numbers of men thrown his way.
Eventually, he was caught by a sharp eyed Imperial lieutenant who spotted a blaster burn on his armor while returning to town, and connected the dots with a recent patrol that had called in an ambush and then gone dark. Cornered, and about to face Imperial justice, Gaman was saved when a Rebel sympathizer tossed out a smokescreen and gave him his choices: help the Rebellion or return to the streets.
Gaman didn't see much of a choice, but the Rebel continued: His family was alive, and safe. His brother had been feeding the Alliance information, and the Alliance had seen to their protection. Gaman had been out hunting at the time, and so they hadn't been able to locate him.
That marked a change in Gaman. Hope returned to his life, and he joined the fight against the Empire with renewed vigor.

Where Gaman used to stalk game in the woods, he now sees the stopping of Imperial patrols and stormtrooper as his new calling. He is cognizant of the fact that it is men and women he is killing, and whenever possible, their surrender is equally satisfying to him.
Motivation - Peace
Gaman hopes for the day he can live out his days in peace, and see his brother and sister raise their families. Until the Empire is defeated, he will continue to fight.

Description
Gaman is a human male of middling age. His black hair is kept to a military crop, shaven at the sides and two inches at the top, and his skin is tanned from the outdoors.
He appears dressed in a hunter's suit of armor, with pouches and plates in seeming disarray, but blaster score marks indicate that his prey has been shooting back. A pair of hunting goggles dangle off a strap on his chest.
