Background

As a Gank/Togorian hybrid Ray is very tall; extremely tall compared to other Ganks. He is visually akin to a Gank but retaining the height and fur thickness of a Togorian.
Ray is a hybrid due to rogue Imperial experimentations on far off science colonies. Ray knows nought about his parents and little about his own history. Due to this he is particularly sensitive about the subject and has a tendency to avoid it and moreover, has shown more than once he is willing to kill to avoid it.
As an experienced space traveller Ray has encountered his fair share of incidents and sports battle scars from shrapnel and slashes all over his body, though they are rarely seen due to his preference to cover up with armour all of the time. Rarely, he removes his mask to threaten someone, showing them the scars and cybernetics and his white left eye, blinded by a piece of poorly constructed helmet splintering into his eye.

Motivation

My ship is out there somewhere, but it got stolen in 14BBY and I've spent the rest of my life looking for it. The thing is, I've done some dodgy stuff and screwed over some important people in return for information on where it might be and who might have taken it. It was stolen while I was tidying up a deal with an ex-employer, who wanted a small shipment of personal items brought from their homeworld to their current planet of residence, Lothal.

Obligations

I was assigned to deliver a shipment of tekonite to an Imperial base on Endor, but an EMP went off as I was preparing for landing; still 3 clicks up and my ship shut down and crashed. I was unconscious for several hours before i woke up to find the tekonite shipment missing. I haven't completed my assignment to deliver the tekonite to the Imperial base, and so I must finish what I get paid to do.
