Background
Chiff Magan is the son of prominent Assemblywoman Lai Magan, and a lesser-known Rear Admiral of the makeshift Pantoran Volunteer Navy, Veraff Magan. He was just a child when his mother's younger sister, Galactic Republic Senator Riyo Chuchi, officially recognized the rightful claim the Talz had to Orto Plutonia, the ice planet that the moon of Pantora orbits. The intrigue resulting from the political fallout encouraged his mother to do her part on the homefront to help defend her family and its ideals, and that of all Pantorans by extension, while his father volunteered his time to Pantora's improvised defense during the Clone Wars, following the chaos resulting from the blockade by the Trade Federation.
Chiff is a prominent bachelor, and a fairly benign playboy, in the sense that his dance card is always full, even if he usually winds up going home alone. He has frequently been found at the gambling tables, fleecing fellow gamblers through the power of being entertaining company. His parents enjoyed living vicariously through their son on account of all their sacrifices, but they couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't living up to his potential.
Motivation
Chiff tends to prefer relying on his Charm and being Diplomatic, rather than being confrontational. Ultimately, he's very little good in a fight anyway. However, when pushed, he will rely on the ball throwing skills he developed as a youth to throw carefully chosen grenades.
Likewise, while piloting in Space, Chiff prefers to run rather than to fight; that being said, learning to fly in a sector filled with pirates makes you learn how to run and how to fight fairly quickly.
Duties
Exploration/Escort Duty (Pantora): 5

Description
Don't take the picture too literally; it was the closest I could find to "youthful" and "congenial".
Chiff is a handsome man in his late twenties, with the usual gold eyes; he has black hair with purple highlights. He has the usual familial tattoos in aristocratic gold, rather than the yellow frequently seen among more frugal Pantorans.
When a non-Pantoran mispronounces his name, he will gently remind them that it should be pronounced with a soft c, like "shiff", rather than with a hard c, like "chips". With a fellow Pantoran, he would never insist on one pronunciation over another, of course; Pantora has many dialects, and him insisting on how his name should be pronounced might come across as elitist to those who assume it should be pronounced rustically.
For Chiff, there's no good news that isn't worth a party, even if circumstances dictate that the party must be short. He prefers such celebrations to be "entertainingly elegant", rather than "stuffy" or "rowdy", but he is also known to resign himself to being a good host.
