Background
Regg was born on Coruscant as an only child, his parents being third generation immigrants from Rodia. Being very industrious they ran a small electronics and repair shop in a middle class level on the city planet. However, anti-alien sentiment on the higher levels of Coruscant made business very hard, as many of the human inhabitants were not very tolerant of these alien 'usurpers' in their middle-class neighborhood, feeling that "stinky Rodians belong down below." This, coupled with various legislation seemingly treating his family as pseudo criminals soured Regg's feelings on the Republics capitol.
This continued until Regg became a teenager. After a mob burned down the shop that resulted in the death of his mother and security forces doing nothing, his father decided that this planet held nothing for them. Selling what remains of the shop for scraps and taking out small 'family loan' from Regg's maternal uncle, his father buying a beat up YT-1000 light freighter.
Flying around the galaxy for a few years hauling cargo, Regg saw many places. Although many of the Outer Rim were lawless and chaotic, he also felt they were a lot more accepting of the varieties of different cultures, in contrast to the more human dominated Core worlds.
Eventually, Regg's father remarried with the Navigator of their ship.
Regg didn't fancy the live of a cargo hauler much, and now that his father had his attention tied to his new wife (and now new son) Regg felt like he wanted to get away.
While shortly staying on Raxus after dropping of a shipment of medical droids, news broke out of the start of the Clone Wars. Recognizing an opportunity for adventure (and feeling the human-centric Republic could use a lesson or two) Regg's sneaked out of the ship and entered a recruiting station for organic units, joining the CiS army.
Showing great promise in marksmanship, Regg was given training as a sniper. Eventually Regg was transferred to a special operative unit, specialized in infiltration and assassination.
At the end stages of the Clone Wars, Regg´s unit was in the preparation stages of a high value target. However, Regg's Commanding officer saw the writing on the wall and betrayed his former comrades to save himself.
After the war, without a cause to fight and no home for him in this new 'Empire', Regg is continuing the one thing he knows how to do.
