Background

Yaara was a kid on Mohsen when the the Declaration of a New Order heralded in the age of the Empire, though their fascist reign didn’t reach her planet until a few years later, when she was old enough to fight with the rest of her herd against their brutal invasion. The older members of her herd forbade her from being on the front lines, so she became a medic, giving others medical aid and ferrying them to and from the battlefield, which gave her flight experience too. Eventually, the war was lost and her herd mostly killed, like many of the other herds on Mohsen, but she escaped off-planet in her ship. Since then, she’s been a courier, occasionally for rebels due to the oath to her dead herd to fight the Empire, but mostly for whoever was willing to pay (except the Empire, of course).

In one of her recent runs for a lower Pyke lord, Yaara got mixed up in a dispute between the Pyke Syndicate and Hutt Clans, getting in the way of the interests of Teemo the Hutt. She's laying low on Tatooine, said to be the domain of Jabba the Hutt, but that doesn't mean she's safe.

Motivation

Yaara’s only motivations right now are to keep making credits and keep herself going; without a home to fight for, she lives aimlessly, but cares too much to just give up too… It’s a lonely life, but having someone to give medical aid to or fly around would surely bring some purpose back to her life.

Obligations

Criminal 10 - Due to her activity in Mohsen’s war against the Empire, and following activities as a courier for less-than-reputable clients, Yaara has a respectable warrant out for her arrest, though she’s kept her nose clean enough to avoid any bounties from the Hutts or otherwise.

Oath 10 - Mohsen’s culture is very family-oriented, all the Mohsenians in a herd acting as one for the benefit of all. So too is their moral code: when the Empire invaded, Yaara’s herd and countless others swore to not give them an inch. They may have failed to upkeep this oath, but it still drives Yaara’s actions today.
