Background
oomi had a traditional Zabrak upbringing, in that it had a heavy emphasis on combat and survival skills on preparation for her rite of passage.
She was part of a group undergoing their rites of passage together, but things went wrong on the final trial. Unrealised by anyone, a rancor had claimed the area as territority. The beast attacked, leaving many wounded, maimed or killed. Noomi, as much by chance as skill, struck the killing blow, earning her tattoos in the process. She wears some of the rancor's teeth on a necklace.
Entering adulthood, she was recruited by a small mercenary group. Working with the group was her entry into the wider galactic community. It turns out there's plenty if people willing to pay for her skill with a blade.
