Background
Alden tells people they used to be a bounty hunter in the Inner Rim, primarily in the Coruscant underworld. In reality, he was a Jedi Padawan before the Order was betrayed and the Empire rose to power. Thankfully, he and his master survived Order 66 with the help of some good friends. Before parting ways for safety and seclusion, their former master Kyla bestowed upon him the rank of Jedi Knight.
Since then, Alden - formerly known as Fen - has traveled around the Outer Rim, aiding oppressed peoples and thwarting the Empire at every opportunity. Upon hearing of a formal Rebellion working to end the Emperor's reign, Alden and their companions worked tirelessly to get in contact with the Alliance to join the wider network of rebel cells.
Motivation
The Jedi:
The Great Jedi Purge that started with order 66 at the end of the Clone Wars deprived the galaxy of the single most important source of justice and peacekeeping known, at least as far as Alden is concerned. They seek to restore the light of the Jedi to the galaxy.
That said, Alden has had a lot of time to consider the Jedi Order he grew up hearing about and compare it to the Jedi Order that he was surrounded by in his youth. Alden wants to restore the Order as it once was - or perhaps how they wish it had been.
Duties
Description
Alden, 27, stands at 5'10 with a slender, athletic build. Their skin is a rich russet color, a stark contrast the white stripes running through their thick brown hair, loosely tied back into a single braid. A pinkish-white scar, clean and violent, mars the right side of his face from forehead to cheek bone. A short, neat beard frames his angular jawline. The most striking - and often disturbing - feature about Alden are his eyes. He has none. A blank, freckled patch of skin rests over their socketless skull.
As for their presence, Fen is reserved and contemplative. They often remain stoic, somber in the presence of strangers. When they smile, it is most often a mocking echo of joy.
