Grew up in a large close knit family on Drualkin. As a child Slegger learned how to fix toys and simple household items. His parents, seeing his joy in fixing and tinkering as a blessing and encouraged and nurtured this often getting him spare parts or broken items to work on. As he grew, he became a favorite among his siblings from fixing their toys and a welcomed guest in many neighbors homes from fixing their appliances and even vehicles. Slegger's work gave him a sense of pride, knowing he was helping his family as they struggled to keep up with taxes levied against their community. Eventually he got a job as a mechanic at the local ship port. There he was able to expand his knowledge on droids, computers, star ships. His family also scraped together enough credits to buy Slegger an energy slingshot as a congratulatory gift and in case anything were to happen at the ship port or his commute.

Slegger still keeps his old slingshot equipped though he hardly ever uses it.
