Bol Vevin was born on Coruscant to an august family that made its wealth developing and manufacturing medical technology, in particular high-end bacta tanks. Leaving behind family tradition and following in the footsteps of his older brother Kaylas, Bol joined a small syndicate called Ordell's Dirty Dozen that his brother was a bounty hunter with. While Kaylas was successful, Bol didn't have a knack for bounty hunting. He found his true calling as a politician, becoming a mayor of the Lokian Apex, a free city on Lok in the Karthakk system of the Outer Rim. When the Empire set up an Imperial presence on the planet to establish itself, Bol was forced to resign and leave Lok with just the clothes on his back because of his support of a freer style of governance. Recruited by the Rebellion shortly after, Bol was assigned to a small crew of rebels on the Lazy Bantha, a VCX-100 Light Freighter led by Lt. Jimmy Weinko.

Quest: Glory - Bol Vevin sees a chance to do something important in the galaxy, securing a place in history as a skilled politician. He wants to see the Empire exposed as a corrupt, exploitive tyranny and do something so outrageous and daring to end Imperial rule that folks will talk about it for years to come and may even restore his standing with his family. Such motivation can be risky for his companions, yet it may also serve to inspire as well.

Due to the wealth and status of the Vevin family, and even though he and his brother are already considered "black sheep", Bol is obliged to avoid anything that would embarrass the family name. Although cut off from any support for money or resources, he may be called upon to help the Vevins as needed. Now, after the debacle on Lok, he has brought shame and is desperate to make good.

After losing his political position on Lok because of Imperial influence, Bol Vevin feels it's his duty to see to it that as many factions, systems and sectors as possible come to the side- and the aid – of the Alliance against the Empire.
