Background

A rough and short tempered Neimoidian, Plo grew up in a rough neighbourhood on Neimoidia. He watched as corrupt gangs took control, constant wars between them, always with innocents in the middle. When he was fifteen he watched as his best friend Gonoll was caught in a crossfire and killed, from that day forth he knew he wanted to fight the criminals of his city.

For years he struggled with the death of Gonoll, hating those that had taken his best friend. At the end of school he convinced his parents to let him enroll in the Law Enforcement Academy, bent on making those criminals suffer. He wasn't the brightest mind, but he studied hard and passed near the top of class. Most of his success came from the practical side of things, his life had taught him to be creative and if your not sure how to do something just wing it and pretend!

He graduated and was assigned a station to operate from, under the watchful eyes of his new and experienced partner Darr. Darr was a seasoned cop, a take no crap kinda guy who was comfortable pushing the boundaries to get the crook. The pair immediately hit it off, Plo wanted criminals to get their due and Darr was good at making that happen. They where together for a number of years.

But Plo was always thinking about his old stomping ground, he kept in touch with the goings on there. One day a position opened up in the local station, so he applied for transfer immediately. Darr was disappointed, but understood, he knew the story of Gonoll's death and would do the same himself. After sitting an interview Plo got the position and transfers within a week.

But things didn't go smoothly, the new station had a very different outlook on police methods. They did everything by the book, and his newly assigned partner, a Sulustian named Shivenia was no exception. Plo felt stifled, and began to understand just how his neighbourhood had com to be the way it was. Every time they had a lead, some paperwork would need to be done, by the time it was, the lead would go cold. A suspect would be arrested and politely questioned, but Plo knew that politely asking a hard crim got you nowhere, then they would be released! Yet somehow no one from head office ever came over, no one questioned the poor results that where clearly coming from here.

Plo started roaming the streets when off duty, getting into minor scuffles. Stopping the occasional robbery wasn't enough though, he knew bigger fish needed catching. As time went on he got to know the state of things and got back in contact with some old friends. There was a major player in town now and she had a firm grasp on the underworld, brutal, effective grasp. Puth was her name, and what's more it was her and her gang that had been a part of Gonoll's death. Plo convinced himself Puth needed taking down, and he was going to do it.

Weeks of planning, gathering info and digging got him a pile of evidence on her, linking her gang to major drug, weapons and slave trafficking. He presented it all to the Commander of the station, who asked how he had gotten all this, Plo told him. He immediately dumped it off his desk into the bin, the right forms hadn't been filed, it was useless. This broke something inside Plo, he snapped, not openly, not in front of everyone. But he knew his days with this station where numbered.

He took a trip to see Darr and filled him in, he told Darr he was going to fix this problem, he was going to cut the head off the snake. Darr wouldn't let him do it alone, Puth needed killing and Plo couldn't do it himself. So together they planned their operation. It took another couple of weeks, but finally they got word that Puth was going to meet a major drugs dealer down at the shipping yards, off the side of the space port.

The two cops scouted the area and set their plan. They would strike in the middle of the deal, perhaps 2 snakes could be punished in one go. They set up and lay in wait for hours, then right on time Puth showed up in a speeder, with 4 swoops and extra guards in with her. The cops watched as 2 of her goons dashed off with giant rifles, and set up ready to take out any threats. Both where dead within 5 minutes.

Not long after a dark speeder approached followed by a second identical one. Six guards got out, followed buy the shock of Plo's life. The seventh passenger was Klihan, his commander at the station. Suddenly everything clicked into place, all the reports, all the arrests, it was all a ruse, all a fake. The station was completely corrupt.

A fight ensued, the 2 officers against 15 armed gang members, but they had the high ground, the cover and surprise. The first shot Plo took downed Puth, she would be no more trouble to anyone. Darr had been aiming for Klihan, but a lackey got in the way... Klihan jumped in his airspeeder and fled! Plo and Darr where separated but quickly the gangers where either downed or fleeing. Plo called out for Darr, and got no response, he started searching. Minutes passed, and eventually Plo found his old partner, bleeding out and barely conscious, he died telling Plo to run, there was nothing here for Plo any more, he was sorry that Klihan had escaped.

Plo fled, straight out the gates of the port and into a taxi. Half an hour later he was having a caff and trying to plan an exit when Shivenia walked in. With nothing to loose PLO cut to the chase, and told her everything. Shocked by the revelations she agreed to help bring justice back to the streets.

Turns out she was an underground street racer, and had her own connections to the underworld. She took him to a safe house, actually a room at the back of a workshop, and their planing began.
