Background
In her youth, Lucina was a fairly notorious vigilante/bounty huntress active throughout the Outer Rim. As she would always say: "There's too many blasters pointed at us and never enough pointed back at them." She and her crew, "the Banshees" made a bit of a name for themselves, inspiring colonists to form militias bearing some of her crew's livery and attracting significant attention from rival criminals and of course, the Empire.
Eventually, the Banshees found themselves facing down a loose coalition of most every pirate, slaver, and rival bounty hunter they had ever crossed paths with. In a daring effort to both martyrize themselves and get the heat off, the Banshees elected to allow the coalition to push into their hideout before detonating it in a heroic last stand. Some of them actually were martyrized, but Lucina was one of a lucky 3 of the original 7 to escape the Outer Rim.
With her share of the Banshee's bounty earnings, she laid down her weapons and opened up a small, unassuming cafe on a comfy but backwater planet in the mid-rim. For all anyone knew, she was "Aunt Luci, owner of Aunt Luci's cafe and baker of the best blue milk pies this side of the core". She developed a reputation for being a rather jolly "wine aunt" who was protective of her regulars and mysteriously good in a bar brawl.
One day, as she was schmoozing/being schmoozed by an Alliance officer, a band of stormtroopers barged in attempting to arrest one of her regulars and their family. Regardless of whether or not they were guilty, NOTHING in Lucina's book ever warranted being dragged off to rot away in an Imperial slave camp. Good thing she always kept an RSKF-44 under the bar.
Surprising the Alliance officer with her quick shooting, it didn't take long for the officer to try to recruit her and not much longer for her to consider it. Selling the cafe to one of her regulars, Lucina strapped on the holsters once again and found herself on a transport shuttle for the Lantilles sector.
(Sidenote: in her own strange, twisted definition, she did leave behind the recipe for her Blue Milk Pies, buuuut said recipe was handwritten in her own arcane shorthand and buried in the Mynock hive she called "a back office" means finding it will be a formidable task.")
