Background
The Saint: Jirue Arac, The Maiden of the Vale.
"Dagro's most renowned saint. She left her homeland at age 17, and in the two short years before she was burned to death at age 19, she engraved her name in history. She is the saint who saved Dagro, and after a miraculous rise to power, she was shamed and met a tragic end...." - From "Jirue Arac, the Woman Behind the Saint"
The daughter of a common farmer born thousands of years before the Galactic Empire was even dreamed up, Jirue claims that she heard the lamentations of Dargo's guardian deity over the wickedness and cruelty of the King, and resolved to fight for him so that he would never mourn again. At just 17, she left her home and began a revolution against the monarch, gaining followers throughout the entire land, eventually overthrowing the King and ushering in a new regime.
However, as time went on, those who were still loyal to the king plotted to have her removed, and, after framing her for blasphemy, had her hanged, then burnt her body. This was not the end for Jirue though, as her soul (at least in part) remained attached to her banner, which was collected by a passer-by and placed in a "tomb" setup in memorial of her by the peasant-folk, hidden deep within the canyons of Dargo so that it would remain hidden from the authorities.
The Archeologist: Shi-wa Kana.
A distant relative of Jirue, Shi-wa became an archeologist in the hopes of discovering the tomb of her ancestor. After years of searching, she finally found the Jirue's tomb, and lifted the banner that her ancestor once used to rally armies to her and inspire peasants to charge canons. After coming into contact with Jirue's spirit, and hearing Jirue's despair at the state of the Galaxy under the Empire, Shi-wa offered to form a contract with her, allowing Jirue's soul to fuse with hers so that she could once again go out and save others.

Description
A kind and caring woman who seeks to aid others, Jirue holds all life sacred and will protect the innocent, even at the cost of her own life. Whilst she will not hesitate to draw arms to protect others, she rarely instigates fights unless it is the only solution. She was said to possess an incredibly strong charisma that could move even the most stone-hearted of nobles to aid her, as well as an innocence not normally found in soldiers or generals. She is a capable leader and, along with her generals, led her army against the King to overthrow him, though she rarely displays these traits unless under pressure.
