He was born in 43 BBY, but was orphaned shortly thereafter when the ship carrying him and his parents was attacked by pirates. He was set adrift in an escape pod which was found 3 days later by Loreck Vanth, Darien's father, who had received the pod's distress signal and detoured to investigate. He found the Shistavanen infant near death from hunger and cold. He brought Falmok home with him and officially adopted him in the Mandalorian tradition.
In 40 BBY, the family was part of a convoy of the remnants of the True Mandalorians, trying to evacuate a settlement threatened by the Death Watch. However, elements of the Death Watch force had split off from the main group and flanked around to attack the comparatively defenseless convoy. Verdel (Falmok’s adopted mother) had been in an escort position, but when the battle commenced, she fell back to protect the speeder containing her children. As Falmok and Darien huddled inside the speeder, she was killed by a missile fired at the speeder when she jumped in front of it to block it and protect her children.
He grew up alongside Darien and the two of them were almost inseparable until 32 BBY when they relocated to Vorpa'ya and Darien left to become a bounty hunter. This left Falmok rather despondent and he would regularly run off into the wilds for days on end, exploring and trying to learn to live without relying on anyone else. During this time, he drew closer to his adopted father who continued to train him as a Mandalorian. When Darien returned in 27 BBY, Falmok was overjoyed to have him back, if a little disappointed with the interest Darien had developed in Kyra. When Darien left again in 25 BBY, Falmok joined him. When Loreck was killed in the Death Watch bombing of a monument in Sundari, Falmok was devastated and swore an oath against the Death Watch.
He values his family above all else and will defend them at all costs.
He sees the Death Watch as warriors without honor and is determined to never stoop to their level. Even to avenge his father, he feels he must stick to his code of honor so that he won't dishonor his father's memory by becoming like those who killed him.
Clan (5): Clan Vanth rescued him and adopted him when he had nowhere to call home and no one to call family. He now feels a profound sense of loyalty to the Clan as well as to his blood-brother Darien, whose father adopted him into their family.
Oath (5): The Death Watch killed his father, and mando'ad draar digu (a Mandalorian never forgets). Because of this he has swore an oath against the Death Watch and will kill them any chance he gets, but only in honorable combat; a courtesy they didn't give his father.
