Cyberneticist 1 Cyber Tech The character removes setback per rank of Cyberneticist from his checks to build, repair, and install cybernetic implants. In addition, cybernetics and and any materials used to craft cybernetics cost the character 50% less (this does not decrease with additional ranks of Cyberneticist.)
Engineered Redundancies 1 Cyber Tech The character benefits from emergency repair patches as if he were a droid. The character still benefits from stim packs as usual, but can only benefit from a total of 5 stim packs and/or emergency repair patches per day. Additionally, the character can be healed with the Mechanics skill in the same manner as a droid.
Toughened 1 Cyber Tech The character increases his wound threshold by two per rank of Toughnened.
Eye for Detail 1 Cyber Tech After rolling the dice pool for a Mechanics or Computers check but before interpreting the results, the character may volunatrily suffer a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Eye for Detail. If he does, he may convert that many success into advantage. (The character must still have at least success in the results at the end to succeed on the check.)
Utinni! 1 Outlaw Tech The character removes setback equal to the character's ranks in Utinni! from checks made to find or scavenge items or gear. These checks could include Negotiation, Perception, or other checks, depending on circumstances and the GM's discretion. Such skill checks take half their normal time (this does not decrease with multiple ranks of Utinni!)
Grit 1 Outlaw Tech Each rank of Grit increases a character’s strain threshold by one.
Side Step 1 Outlaw Tech Once per round on the character's turn, the character may perform a Side Step maneuver to side step and try to avoid incoming range attacks. He then suffers a number of strain no greater than his ranks in Side Step. Until the start of the character's next turn, upgrade the difficulty of all ranged combat checks targeting the character a number of times equal to the strain suffered by the character.
Speaks Binary 1 Outlaw Tech The character grants Boost per rank of Speaks Binary to any task he directs a non-player droid to perform.
Jury Rigged 1 Outlaw Tech The character choose one personal weapon or piece of armor per rank of Jury Rigged. He may increase the damage of the weapon by one; decrease the Advantage cost on its Critical, or any single other effect by one to a minimum of one; or increase the armor's ranged or melee defense by one. Alternatively, he can decrease the encumbrance of the item by two to a minimum of one. The bonus only applies so long as the character is using the item. if the item is ever lost or detsroyed, the character may apply Jury Rigged to a new personal weapon or piece of armor.
Inventor 2 Outlaw Tech When constructing new items or modifying existing attachments, the character may choose to add boost or remove setback from the check per rank of Inventor.

Background

It is said that when one is born a slave, they will die a slave. A fate that Naz had resigned himself to as a child. Owned by a Hutt, his pack had been destroyed and the survivors taken as slaves, leaving the young Gank with no family to call his own. Showing remarkable technical aptitude, the young Gank was to be sold, trafficked by the Black Sun. Learning of his skills however, the slaver in charge of him kept Naz for himself, and began to have Naz work on weapons and armor for the Balck Sun. With great aptitude, he did well, quickly making a name for himself among the Black Sun - and the Empire.

Wanted for illegal technology, Naz was nearly killed when a group of Mandalorian Protectors raided the hidden base on one of Concord Dawn’s moons. To his surprise however, they offered the slaves freedom, and when the offer to join the Mandalorians came, Naz was quick to accept. The armor they wore fascinated him, and he had no pack of his own to return to.

Adopted by Clan Skirata, he found himself brother to one of his saviors, a younger Mandalorian by the name of Arde. Tasked with learning from Arde and the Protectors, training was severely difficult at first. Having been a slave, Naz had never learned to fight, and Arde pushed him hard, a skilled warrior in his own right. His teaching was effective however, and what Naz couldn’t make up for with ability, he used technology for.

The two grew closer as Naz began to work on Arde’s equipment, improving them for his brother. Soon, he was accompanying Arde on missions, and though it frightened him at first, Naz did his best to behave as a true Mandalorian. It wasn’t until the Mandalorian Protectors were attacked that Naz finally felt himself worthy.

With his brother in a frenzy, Naz was forced to drag Arde away from the massacre to save their lives, narrowly avoiding their own demise as they fought their way out. He could tell it hurt his brother, but together they vowed revenge on the Empire for destroying the Protectors. At the first word of the Mandalorian Resistance, Arde insisted they join with the new Mand’alor. Naz was happy to agree, and they joined up with the Nite Owls, hopeful that his technical aptitude and his brother’s combat prowess could aid in driving the Empire from Mandalore.

Motivation

Overthrow the Empire: Furious over the destruction of the Mandalorian Protectors on Concord Dawn, Naz would like nothing more than to force the Empire out of Mandalorian Space.

Clan: Naz deeply desires to prove himself worthy to Arde and the rest of his clan for giving him a chance at life and freedom.

Obligations

Family (10): Saved by Arde and adopted into Clan Skirata, Naz feels a strong sense of loyalty to his saviors and will do anything for his adoptive family.

Criminal (+10) (+2500 Cr): Naz is a wanted man for the modifications and tech he produced for the Black Sun, and his death has been ordered by the Empire.
