Background
GR8-1 was built by a droid craftsman named Yastara 103 years ago. He was built to be a assistant in her shop. Yastara later died leaving the droid repair and upgrade shop to GR8-1.
Motivation
Yastara always treated him and all the droids of his customer droids as equals. She even snuck in some rouge software in droids of abusive owners that allow them to override their restraining bolts and flee their master
Obligations
Yastara installed custom subroutines to encourage him to acquire knowledge and improve himself so he would be prepared to live on his own. Unfortunately she did not install any limitations to this. He needs to find new research or improve himself physically in order to prove that his is better than his rival, Kamenoan scientist, Alda As.
Description
Yastara gave GR8-1 hands for high dexterity for the installation of delicate parts. His right middle finger contains a data port connection (Yastara had a crude sense of humor).
