Background
During basic training, 7472 was a model clone. Followed orders without question, passed all of his examinations with flying colors, and was universally well-liked among his fellow soldiers. He was made squad leader upon graduation, and his superiors expected great things from him. That all began to change at the Battle of Geonosis. Due to some faulty intel, 7472's battalion was sent underequipped into an area with far more hostile resistance than had been anticipated. They accomplished their mission, but 7472, through sheer luck, was the only survivor, having lost all of his pod brothers. Things didn't get much better after that, as the units that he was assigned to continued to suffer unusually high casualty rates, leading many other clones to think of him as cursed. Survivor's guilt set in, and 7472 grew bitter and resentful, hating the Republic for its treatment of clones and angry at himself for outliving his brothers. Several demotions followed due to insubordinate behavior, but the Republic did not want to get rid of him completely, as they did not want to waste a trooper, especially one who had been decorated at Geonosis. In order to keep him out of the way, they demoted him once again and sent him off to Coruscant, assigning him to a squad on a planet where he could still function as a symbol of the Republic without causing too much trouble for anyone. His posting on Coruscant, though only recent, has given 7472 time to reflect on his priorities and feelings. Though still loyal to his brothers (he follows orders from his clone commanders far more readily than from his non-clone ones) he recognizes that they all keep their distance from him due to his reputation. He still has nightmares of his times on the battlefield, yet at the same time finds it unbearable to simply stay on Coruscant doing nothing. He hopes that he can find some sense of belonging again soon, and dreams of a life beyond the tedium and structure of his current one.
