Only white pip may be used to generate positive emotions such as peace, tranquility, and friendliness. Other emotions such as confusion can be generated with either

Background
Platt was born and raised as a Jedi. His father was one, and his mother was as well, although neither of them were able to stay in the Jedi order after it was found that they had a kid. Platt lived much of his life without being able to see his parents often. However, at the fall of the Jedi order, his mother was killed. His Master then wiped his memory, and sent him on his way. He's been living ever since, subconsciously using the Force.
Motivation
Obligation 10 (Debt): Felix was severely injured when he escaped a bad situation with some bad people, which led him to be helped out by some even worse people. He's currently a slave to the hutt who runs the bar, Jutta the Hutt.
Morality
Certainty: This doesn't simply cover confidence or positivity, but also an unshakable faith of the Force. The Mystic dives into conflict without hesitation, for there is no conflict, only the Force ebbing and flowing. (Platt trusts in the Force, although he doesn't adhere to one side or the other.)
Fear: So much can go so wrong. The Force is in a
precarious balance. Perhaps it's best to let a little suffering go unimpeded now so the future can be more certain. Perhaps this is safe. unless that future never comes. (Platt fears doing what's right if it means complications, as he knows that anything can go wrong.)
