Background

Beginnings: Primitive Backwater
Attitude Towards the Force: An Ancient Religion
Reason for Adventure: Desire for Understanding

An Arkanian offshoot, Zirae'in Adahr was bred with Devaronian blood in hopes of inheriting the species' resilience - and in that, she was a failure. Rather than leave her to join labor force for the Arkanians, a teacher of the offshoots stole her away, seeing a greater future for Zirae.

It was in Weik that they made a home. It was at an early age that Zirae learned of the Paladins of Adamite Tower and set her mind on joining their ranks when she was worthy. Seeing more need of an armorer (and finding herself not as strong as others), she set about learning of the repair and upkeep of the order's gear. Though she did not wield a Sunfire sword, she was considered a paladin, though the title was of little matter to her. To help maintain order in some small way was enough for her.

Some time after, the only family she knew (the teacher) disappeared. Though she swore to forsake her life when she donned her helmet, she never forgot the kindness that allowed her her current life. Sadness and concern overwhelmed her, though she felt helpless to do anything.

It wasn't long before news of a new empire reached Weik, along with an outsider seeking respite. With the outsider came tales of foreign worlds, of warriors wielding light, of the arcane known as another name - the Force. Answers awaited, and she would not sit idle.

Motivation

Challenges: Meaning
In the midst of chaos, there must be some reason in it. She hopes to find it.

Morality

Emotional Strength: Humility
Zirae is very aware of her shortcomings and her strengths, thus helping her recognize where she can be of most help and use.

Emotional Weakness: Worthlessness
Building self-worth is a struggle. When good fortune comes her way, she's not certain she deserves any of it.

Description

Skin: pale white
Eyes: yellow / amber
Hair: dark brown (typically tied up, out of habit)
Distinguishing Features: vestigial horn spots; four small, black spots under each eye

Other Notes

"my biggest fear is that eventually you will see me the way i see myself."

"be strong saith my heart; I am a soldier, I have seen worse sights than this."

"what i’ve come to learn is that the world is never saved in grand messianic gestures, but in the simple accumulation of gentle, soft, almost invisible acts of compassion."

"trying to convince my shadow that i am someone worth following."

"courage doesn’t always roar.
sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the
end of the day saying,
'i will try again tomorrow.'"
