Background

Mothe grew up in a time of great strife on his homeworld of Yar Togna. As a youth he worked alongside his egg-mate Porpho as a Float-Runner, harvesting fungus that grew on the back of the massive Float-Jellies that feasted on the ash of Yar Togna's atmosphere. It was all he'd wanted from life: float-running was dangerous, but it was exciting, rewarding work.

But nothing the Empire touched would not wither with time.

When they arrived, they broke his family apart. Porpho was taken far away to work the crystal mines with other Tognaths, and Mothe spent years hunting for his egg-mate, his twin. But despite their bond (Tognath twins have a slight telepathic bond, in game they can even flip a destiny token to get their general location and emotional state) Mothe could never find them. He went from work camp to work camp, honing his natural agility into a true talent, but never found his brother.

When the opportunity came to leave Yar Togna, to join rebels fighting to free the Galaxy from the Empire's oppression, Mothe left. He's always regretted leaving Porpho behind. Though their connection has dimmed with lightyears between them, Mothe still feels Porpho out there. And one day, when the shame fades and duty releases him, Mothe will go home and find him.

Motivation

Mothe has a lot of reasons to be grateful to the New Republic. The Rebel Alliance gave him freedom, a purpose, and the means to take vengeance against the Empire that enslaved his planet. He'll stop at nothing to stamp out whatever remnants of the Empire lurk out in the galaxy.

He'd also like to see his planet find a place within this New Republic, to ensure that they have allies strong enough to ensure they never see slavery again. It's more easily said than done. Yar Togna has never been friendly to outsiders.

On a more personal note, he wants to reunite with his egg-mate Porpho. Yet, when given the chance, he's resisted taking leave to go home and look for him. Time and time again Mothe has convinced himself he's not ready to see his egg-mate face to face.

Duties

Mothe saw action in the war, briefly joining a number of other Tognath's within Saw Gerrera's rebel cell. He was lucky enough to be away when Jedha was annihilated, and for a time he thought his dream of defeating the Empire had been crushed. With the destruction of the first Deathstar, he saw that hope remained and rejoined the Rebel Alliance within the Intelligence Service. His association with Saw Gerrera remained somewhat as a black mark on his record, but he served as an operative through the rest of the war.

His specialty was Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence, working to procure information vital to the Rebellion while making sure the Empire's own agents took nothing.

Description

Short--for a Tognath--Mothe stands just over 6'2". He cuts a fairly imposing figure, and that coupled with his reputation lead him to adopt more "friendly" colors. Thus, when he's not working, he prefers brighter clothing. It doesn't help much.
