Special Features

Remote Control: this ship can be controlled from a different ship up to Medium Range. This control can be disrupted by passing a HARD Computers check. If control is disrupted or the Comet flies out of control range, it can be brought back under control by passing an average computer skill check.

Flying Bomb: the cockpit has been replaced by a single Concussion Mine. It can be detonated by remote or by a proximity sensor. Detecting this mine in normal conditions requires passing a Hard Perception check. If the area is filled with TIE fighters, this becomes a Daunting Perception test

Notes

Throughout the Galactic Civil War, TIEs would end up occasionally captured by the Alliance in flyable condition. Often seen as little more than scrap or a target, one enterprising engineer turned these otherwise useless fighters into a secret weapon. By stripping the already bare cockpit of any features, he was able to place a single concussion mine inside and rig the flight controls to remote control. The idea was to launch these "TIE Comets" amid battle and fly them into enemy ships as disguised missiles. There are no reports of them being deployed, let alone built, but the plans still exist...
