The Rho Guard is a modified variant of the Rho class shuttle from the clone wars. Created by former GAR engineers, this vessel serves two purposes. It provides a tactical control ship for directing a squadron or two of starfighters, as well as a rescue shuttle for downed pilots. The variant makes use of the large cargo pod as both an airlock and as a hanger bay to evacuate a single damaged fighter. It's visually distinct from its standard counterparts by the lack of forward mounted weaponry and the large sensor dome on the dorsal fin.
