Having acquired numerous ex-imperial Gozanti Armoured Transports throughout the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance command decided to improve these slow, under-armed, and unprotected ships by solving one of those problems. The GODzanti strips out most of its cargo capacity to mount a pair of DBY-827 Heavy turbolasers in a fixed forward position. While even more cumbersome than its standard model, the GODzanti provides the Rebels with a cheap-to-produce swarm artillery vessel.
