Background
Those who do business with RO-0K know it is a bit of an eccentric, constantly in a state of self improvement that it's appearance tends to change encounter to encounter.. even it's voice modulation, that no one even knows what the droid's original configuration was. (and RO-0K isn't telling)
There are some whispers that it might have been a B1 or even an older OOM after the droid army was shut down, a glitch in RO-0K's nero-net wiped most of its programming, but left it still active. The story goes that as a desire to distance itself from the stigma of the war, began it's structural modifications.
Others say it was possibly a botched astromech prototype, a series of which would've been an exclusive addition to a new line of ships. Acting as Pilot/Co-Pilot, Navigator.
Regardless, RO-0K has started making a name for itself with clients who a little eccentric themselves; they prefer to use couriers to deliver sensitive objects or information. RO-0K is more that happy to exploit this behavior, not only does he make a name for itself, but it brings it to interesting places with interesting technology.. and his clients pay top credit for it's services, more than enough to buy the parts it might come across.

Description
RO-0K constantly changes it's appearance as it acquires new technology and parts. But it's basic frame remains constant: Humanoid.
Not because of some vain attempt to be more like biological sentient, but thats the most common parts that it comes across and allows it to pilot and conduct business with them.
A trained eye can discern what component came off a specific model, and several of RO-0K's regular clients enjoy the challenge of not only identifying their contact, but also it's new components.
