Traboli has always hated the idea of a central galactic government. When the Clone Wars broke out, he readily left his native Rodia and hung up his hunter's slugthrower to join the Separatists, picking up a heavy powered blaster rifle to kill clones.
The war never ended. The Republic turned into the Empire, the Separatists into the Rebellion, but the fight's still going and bucketheads still need shooting.

Rebel snipers are familiar with the domino theory : all that's needed to cripple an Imperial military operation is to take the leaders out of commission. Once the beast has been decapitated, its flailing becomes relatively harmless.
