Background
Plenty of flyers come from Corellia, many of them are considered reckless, some are considered lucky; Jayms and his twin brother Felyx were both and more. Born and raised on the sector's capital planet, no matter what the pair did or where the pair went, they were practically inseparable. The siblings had spent much of their time using their paired features to play pranks, cause mischief, and help each other out for their young life.
During their preteen years, Jayms grew fascinated with the stunt racers of the Corellian Sector circuit. Jayms would always fawn over the machines they drove and the way they could fly with reckless abandon, no care in the world. Longing to one day to be one of those very racers. His brother Felyx liked to watch Jayms dream and hope.
As they got older, Jayms put more and more effort into his dream of becoming a racer. He began to work on engines and other small repair work in an attempt to eventually build his own rig to use in races. However, lacking access to proper resources Jayms started to lose hope. That is, until his brother Felyx got a job with a Race promoter. This allowed the brothers to get in and watch the races for free. Getting up close and personal to the races Jayms' spirits rose higher. His dream being so close, he just needed an in.
During one of the races, Jayms got a chance to get even more involved. One of the mechanics for a racer had been indisposed by a stray piece of wreckage flying off the track knocking him out. Without thinking, Jayms quickly hopped over the railing to assist with quick fixes during the remainder of the race. Showing off a little bit of his skills, Jayms was approached afterwards by a man named Gavin. Gavin introduced himself as the owner of the "Gavinized Racing", the company funding this racer. Impressed by Jayms' skills, Gavin invited him to assist with the remainder of the season, allowing Jayms to eventually express his desire to be a racer himself. Gavin had only one requirement; Jayms find a vehicle of his own to begin racing. As long as Jayms could get the craft, he would have a backer for racing.
Later, Felyx came to Jayms about an opportunity to join the Corellian Defense Fleet. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to earn credits, and stay close with his brother, Jayms happily accepted. Unbeknownst to Jayms until arriving at the academy that he was being offered a chance to be an officer. Jayms respectfully declined, instead seeking a spot in the Starfigher Wing. Easily showing off his skills and becoming a top pilot in his graduating class.
He and his brother graduated one after the other. Their first tenure together would be aboard the Starbolt Carrier 'Unyielding Hierophant'. He and Felyx had a relatively uneventful first tour. Mostly dealing with Smugglers in back door lanes, and the occasional Pirates during low traffic seasons, but nothing that the two and their cohorts couldn't handle. Soon time came for the brothers to sign on for a second tour; Felyx didn't hesitate, serving out in Space was far more rewarding for him. Jayms, however, had second thoughts. The pair sat down to dinner one day, and Jayms had told him about saving his pays to buy a small stunt craft to fly in the Race Circuits. While Felyx was disappointed, and a little worried, to see his bother go, ultimately he supported him.
Upon return to the Race Circuits and buying his own stunt craft, the Mach Five, Jayms took the competition by storm. Using his knowlegde learned from the academy and natural given talents to place very high and even win many races as an underdog. It was even better when his brother Felyx was able to watch his performances
Unfortunately, this started drawing some unwanted attention upon Jayms.
Felyx approached Jayms after one of his major races one day, with terrible news that they both were being hunted. Some group of men in black armor had taken an interest in these gifted brothers. Luckily, a friend of Felyx's from the CDF was able to install a hyperdrive on the Mach Five to allow the twins to get off planet and out of the Corellian Sector.
They eventually made their way inward along the Corellian Run and East along the Perlemian Trade Route. They stopped on an unfamiliar planet called Gizer. It was under strict Imperial hold, word had said that it was recently the victim of a devastating attack, but little in the way of news was open or consistent. Enough of the planet was open that Felyx and Jayms could find a city to lay low in the chaos. They sold the Mach Five, and used the money to live quietly for a bit. About a month after they arrived, the were approached by someone named 'Fulcrum', who told them that he was sent by a man named Derrin, and represented the Rebel Alliance. The Alliance Forces in the area needed people to help fight back after the Imperial attack on Gizer, and apparently the Twins came recommended from a mutual friend. They joined up shortly after, ready to put their still mysterious talents to good use.

Excitement, adventure—the character loves every bit of it. He doesn't fight for money, revenge, or a thirst for blood. He fights because he can't get enough of the incredible thrill that comes with risking his life and
coming out on top.
Space Superiority:
The strength and security that CDF provided came from one simple philosophy, that keeping the hyperlanes and planetary space in a sector under control was what gave that sector peace. Jayms is a firm believer that any opposition he faces in a cockpit will not stand up to his uncanny abilities and talents.

Description
6'2' tall late twenties Human with the common features of a Corellian; tanned skin, dark brown hair and eyes, and an inviting smile. Jayms is the more aloof and free going of the two. Jayms would keep his flight suit nice and tidy for looks, not so much as protocol. He remained unshaven, but trimmed, a full goatee around his face. Very few things separated him from his brother in looks.
